Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – America Based Wrestler, Sahid Tejan Kargbo who is all set to compete for Sierra Leone in the African Championship in May this year, has ended a three-day clinic for the national teams of the Sierra Leone Wrestling Association.
The three-day clinic took place at the OlympAfrica Center, Goderich in Freetown involving 23 wrestlers drawn from all categories of the national sides.
According to Former George Mason University Wrestler, who confirmed his desire to represent Sierra Leone in future competitions, they had a five-session camp where he taught some skills to the Sierra Leone Wrestling Association national teams. “I taught them some techniques, mindset, and other skills that will advance the sport to another level,” he said.
Kargbo furthered that there are some wrestlers who are performing very well and that they only need some corrections which will ensure they do very well in international competitions. “The likes of the team captain, Sulaiman ‘Evra’ Kargbo who is well focused and always makes sure that everyone works well, Foday Kargbo, and some others, with a few more techniques these guys will represent Sierra Leone well.” BT/8/3/2023
