A brief background and purpose
AMI Corporate HR, in Reston, Virginia, the United States of America, currently oversees all HR-related functions and activities for clinics. As a way of diversifying, AMI Corporate HR has decided to inaugurate and outsource background and credential check processes for its local staff in Sierra Leone, including future candidates. This process, we believe, would uphold the legacy created by AMI over the years as we continue to thrive to deliver exemplary medical services desired by all.
Scope of Work
AMI Expeditionary Healthcare is looking for a contractor to help us with credentialing our healthcare providers in Africa. This will ensure that the healthcare professionals meet established standards of education, training, and practice before they are allowed to work in healthcare settings. The scope of work for such a company includes the following key activities and services:
Verification of Educational Qualifications: Confirming that healthcare professionals have obtained their degrees, diplomas, and certifications from accredited and recognized educational institutions. Degrees, diplomas, and certificates will vary depending on level of healthcare worker.
Licensing and Certification: Do primary source verification of necessary licenses and certifications required to practice in their respective fields.
Background Checks: Conducting comprehensive background checks, including criminal history, previous employment verification, and checking for any disciplinary actions in previous roles, to ensure the credibility and integrity of healthcare workers.
Continuous Professional Development: Obtaining and verifying continuous professional development programs to ensure healthcare workers remain competent in their field.
Credential Verification Service: Provide a centralized system for the verification of healthcare professionals’ credentials, making it easier to confirm the qualifications of potential hires and for professionals to maintain a portfolio of their credentials.
Language and Cultural Competency: Ensuring that potential healthcare providers meet the minimum standard for English speaking individuals.

- Have previous experience credentialing international healthcare workers especially in Africa.
- Have an online system for all candidate for company to review.
- Have the ability to notify team of impending certificate/licensure expiration.
- Have secure IT system for all candidate data.
