Freetown, SIERRA LEONE — Exactly four years after taking office, the tenure of the Thomas Daddy Brima-led Executive Committee of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) officially comes to an end today, paving the way for a new chapter in football governance.
In keeping with the provisions of the SLFA Constitution, this milestone marks the conclusion of the current executive’s mandate, triggering preparations for the highly anticipated Elective Congress.
The SLFA has confirmed that the 2025 Elective Congress will be held on Saturday, 2nd August 2025, where delegates from across the country will converge to elect a new Executive Committee to steer the affairs of the association for the next four years.
According to SLFA officials, the roadmap and calendar of activities leading to the congress will be unveiled in the coming days. Football stakeholders are eagerly awaiting the announcement, which will outline key timelines and guidelines for the nomination and election processes.
