FC Kallon Management Takes Swift Action in Response to Assault Incident

Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – In response to a disturbing incident of assault on a female referee captured in a video circulating on social media, FC Kallon Management has taken decisive action by dismissing three officials associated with the club. The incident occurred after the match between FC Kallon’s Female Team and Mogbwemo Queens on February 9th, 2024, at the MK 3/10 Playing Field in Angola Town.

Following a thorough review and investigation, the club management identified the individuals involved in the reprehensible incident. Alhaji Mansaray, the Safety and Security Coordinator, Leornard Augiden, the Welfare Officer, and Abdul Hindolo Karim (fan) were found to be connected to the assault on the female referee.

In light of their actions, FC Kallon Management has announced the immediate removal of these individuals from their positions within the club. The swift decision reflects the club’s commitment to upholding principles of sportsmanship and respect. The management strongly condemns any form of violence, particularly directed towards match officials.

This incident underscores the importance of maintaining a culture of respect and fair play in sports. FC Kallon is taking a firm stand against violence and ensuring that such behaviour has consequences.
