FC moves to third position in the SLPL

Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – FC Kallon has moved to third position with 32 points after defeating Bai Bureh Warriors at Angola Field on Sunday 16th April 2023.

Sahr Musa and Julius Goba scored both goals for FC Kallon who are now leading East End Lions by two points and are now in fourth-place while Diamond Stars are in 5th position with 28 points.

The visitors Bai Bureh Warriors, are in 7th position with 25 points. On the same day in Kailahun, the host Luawa FC defeated Lamboi FC by a goal to nil with Nabieu Daffay’s second half goal separating both sides. They have now secured 21 points from 18 matches winning 5, draw 6 and lost 7. In Kono, Diamond Stars and Freetonians SLIFA played to a two all draw (2-2) with host Diamond Stars have secured 28 points and Freetonians SLIFA are in 21 points.

Bottom in the table East End Tigers and Freetown City FC has played to a goalless draw (0-0) while on Saturday Blackpool defeated Kamboi Eagles to maintain their second position with 38 points and Santigie Sesay scoring the winning goal for Mighty Blackpool by defeating Kamboi Eagles by two goals to one (2-1). During the match Kamboi  Eagles took the lead through Lamin Koroma but Edward Yillah levelled before Santigie Sesay scored the winning goal.

At Parade Field. Bo Rangers the visitors defeated Wilberforce Strikers by two goals to zero (2-0) with Abu Komeh opening the scoring 9 minutes from start before Abass Kamara doubled the lead after the break.

Also, FC Johansen secured a vital win on Saturday after defeating relegated Wusum Stars by three goals to one (3-1) at Trade Center.

The league will continue on Wednesday 19th April 2023 with all 18 premier league teams in action. BT/18/4/2023
