Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – Amara Denis Turay, known as Kaodenero and self-proclaimed King of Sierra Leone hip-hop, has been nominated for two prestigious awards at the Africa Entertainment Awards (AEA). The multi-talented artist, who also serves as the Entertainment Ambassador for Sierra Leone, is in the running for Best Album of the Year and Best Male Rapper of 2023.
Kaodenero’s nomination follows his impressive win as Africa Rapper of the Year in 2022, where he surpassed notable names such as Sarkodie, Khaligraph Jones, M.I, and Ice Prince.
