Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – In the North-western Region of Sierra Leone, famous entertainer, songwriter and Rapper Saidu Mustapha Kabia otherwise known by his stage name as “SM De Editor” in collaboration with Noble Venture a non-profit making entertainment group are set to stage the first ever inter-district Old Granny Contest in the region tonight.
According to SM De Editor, the motivation of staging such an event is to primarily empower the old women in the region, to keep them off from stress, add value to their talent and help them to showcase their different talent. In this year’s event, Kambia will be the host and Port Loko will be going away to Bamoi Luma town. I’m planning to host the same event in other parts of the country like Port Loko, Makeni and Freetown,” De Editor stated.
He further disclosed that in this year’s Port Loko versus Kambia “old granny” contest, six old women have already booked a space for tonight’s event, three each from Port Loko and Kambia District. AIM/29/4/2023
