Port Loko, SIERRA LEONE – The main opposition All People’s Congress is set to boycott all activities from the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party for the moment. This was confirmed by the newly elected chairman for Port Loko District Sheku Tejan Saccoh on a phone interview with Awoko Newspaper on the 3rd July, 2023.

According to him, he alleged that they have been faced with severe intimidation by the security forces and supporters of the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party(SLPP).

“We are not going to participate in any activities of this government for the moment until otherwise. I gain my ticket to the chairman position under the APC so I’m going to wait on the last word from the party.”

“From district chairperson, mayoral, members of parliament and local council representatives under the APC we are going to boycott all activities from this government for now,” he disclosed.

“I’m calling on all the supporters of the APC to stay peaceful and wait on the final word from the party. For now we are not going to participate on anything,” he concluded. AIM/4/7/2023
