As part of his contributions to the All People’s Congress (APC) party, the former Secretary General of the party, who is now Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to China, Victor Bockarie Foh, yesterday presented fifteen bags of rice and cash amounting to Le 4 million (Four million Leones) to feed supporters at the party’s headquarters in Freetown.
Presenting the items and the cash on Thursday, Ambassador Foh thanked President Ernest Bai Koroma for appointing him as Ambassador and extended gratitude to the membership of the party for trusting him and having faith and belief in the APC.
He added that he is in China as Sierra Leone’s Ambassador for every Sierra Leonean and not as Ambassador for the APC, adding that he is serving the President and people of Sierra Leone.
Mr. Foh said that what he has given back to the party is from his salaries and that it is meant to feed people who are in the party office.
He doffed his hat to the Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Kuang Weilin, for the love he has for the development of Sierra Leone and for supporting the development of the country.
Ambassador Foh spoke in detail on the support the Chinese government has for Sierra Leone.
Receiving the items, the party’s Secretary General, Ambassador Osman F. Yansaneh said what Ambassador Foh has done demonstrates his love and commitment for the party and its supporters.
He thanked Ambassador Foh for the gesture and called on others to emulate his footstep to demonstrate “gratefulness” to the party and its leader, President Ernest Bai Koroma.
One of the workers at the party office, Kadiatu Bangura thanked Ambassador Foh and noting that he has always been there for them when he was Secretary General.
A physically challenged man, Mohamed Turay said he was not surprised at the gesture of Mr. Foh as he had always been giving them food when he was Secretary General.
