Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – The National Sports Authority (NSA) has announced the disbursement of NLE 2,912,000 (Two Million, Nine Hundred and Twelve Thousand New Leones) to the Sierra Leone Male Premier League Board for the 2023/2024 season. This funding, facilitated by the Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Finance, underscores the government’s steadfast commitment to supporting the country’s top-tier football league.
In a press release issued on Monday, April 22nd, 2024, the NSA highlighted the government’s consistent financial backing of the Sierra Leone Premier Leagues under its tenure since 2018. This ongoing support has played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and organization of competitive national elite football leagues each year.
