President Bio also spoke about the flagship FEED SALONE Programme, a transformative initiative aimed at achieving food self-sufficiency and fostering sustainable economic growth. He announced bolstered budget allocations to agriculture, innovative financial instruments targeting marginalized groups, and collaborative efforts with donor-funded projects to bolster local production and enhance vital agricultural infrastructure.

In a resolute stance against the scourge of drugs and substance abuse, President Bio declared a National Emergency and established the National Task Force on Drugs and Substance Abuse. Emphasizing the imperative of collective action from all sectors of society, he called for unified efforts to combat this pressing crisis.

Concluding his address, President Bio reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to serving and safeguarding every citizen of Sierra Leone, upholding democratic principles and the nation’s Constitution.
