Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – Celebrated Sierra Leonean rapper and entertainment icon Amara Dennis Turay, popularly known as KaoDenero, is celebrating a double victory this week—the birth of his fourth daughter and a major continental music award.
The multi-award-winning artist, who made history in 2022 as Sierra Leone’s first Entertainment Ambassador and Presidential Special Envoy, announced the arrival of his newborn girl on May 7th via a heartwarming Facebook post that sent fans into a frenzy.
Sharing two adorable photos cradling his baby, the Black Leo Record Label CEO captioned the moment: “Newest Dad in town.” The post quickly went viral, amassing over 20,000 reactions and 5,000 congratulatory comments in under 48 hours.
While this is the first child for his wife, Mrs. Esther Turay, the little princess marks KaoDenero’s fourth daughter. His three older children—Marian, Fatima, and Danisa Turay—are from previous relationships.
The joyous news comes hot on the heels of the rapper’s latest career milestone—winning Best Hip-Hop Artist at the Africa Golden Awards 2025 in Kenya. He triumphed over heavyweights like Sarkodie (Ghana), Khaligraph Jones (Kenya), MI (Nigeria), and Nasty C (South Africa), further cementing his legacy as one of Africa’s finest.
With a 20-year career decorated with accolades—including the USA African Entertainment Award (2021) and multiple National Entertainment Awards (NEA)—KaoDenero continues to dominate the scene. His discography boasts 10 hit albums, and his electrifying performances keep fans on their feet.
As the hip-hop star embraces fatherhood once again, fans eagerly await his next move—both on stage and in life’s beautiful journey.
Congratulations to the Turay family! ARW/10/5/2025
